IF I WAS AN ARTICLE OF CLOTHING
I would be a big comfy sweater.
It's officially Spring. The weather is getting warmer. We're going to be getting a lot more rain. The birds are coming back and the trees will no doubt start turning green in the not too distant future.
It's easier and more enjoyable to walk around the city - opposed to taking public transportation. I can open the windows and air out the apartment. The days are getting longer and I get to leave work while there is still daylight to be enjoyed.
Another great thing is getting to wear fewer clothes - well, what I actually mean is that you get to wear fewer layers - or at least lighter layers.
This year will be pretty good for my roomie and I because we are moving into a new place that will have air conditioning. That is especially great considering how warm it has been in our current apartment these past few summers. We just weren't willing to go through another.
The only thing I have to worry about is getting my body to adjust to the new temperature. I'm a walking furnace. Spring and summer are do no completely agree with my body. I love the seasons for so many reasons - too many to list - but getting my body to readjust to warmer weather is tough. The transition into Fall and Winter is super easy because my body really seems to love the cold. Even now that it is getting warmer, I can already see myself looking forward to the Fall. That being said, I am totally looking forward to enjoying this Spring/Summer in the city. I think a little more beach time is in order. :)
But I'm getting off track. Walking furnace. Sure, it comes in handy on a cold rainy day, but on warmer humid days I would just like to craw into a hole, lol. Not really. But it will take a while for my body to adjust. I've asked my doctors over the years about it and they always just say that some people simply run warm. People have always told me I was hot, but come on! ;) lol.
I am also a little interested in seeing how often I make it into the gym this summer. When it's hot out I tend to not want to go to a gym to sweat even more. However, if we do in fact end up with A/C I may not avoid the gym like I did last year.
Speaking of the new place, I still have to call the movers to schedule a day for them to come get our stuff. I am pretty excited to move into this place. When we moved into our current place we (though mostly me) didn't decorate. The new place is making me want to take a trip to Ikea and other smaller places to get some things to make the place look nice.
I have been avoiding decorating too much because I don't want to have to get rid of a lot of things once I go to move into my 'real home' - you know, that place you move with your long-term partner or spouse - that place you intend to stay for years and years. I just don't want to spend too much money on things that I don't intend on keeping. I will just have to be cautious when I make purchases. A lamp here, a frame there... how could I possibly go wrong?! :P
Anyway, my roomie and I should be all moved over by early April at the latest (even though we don't have to be out of here until the end of April). Why wait, right?
Ooh, also, Boyce Avenue is putting on a show in Toronto on Thursday night I kinda wanna see. :P Sadly, because of work I'd have to show up late --- and I'm not a fan of doing that. But I really enjoy everything they post on youtube - original stuff or covers.
Later all... ;)
